Do you set goals for your blog, such as how often you will post? I read something a long time ago that may help you stay on track.
A young comedian asked Jerry Seinfeld how he managed to keep creating new material. He said the secret was to write every day. And the way he made sure to do that was by making a big read ‘X’ on the calendar every day he wrote something. Jerry’s point was that you do not want to break the chain of red X’s on the calendar, so you just keep writing every day.
You may not want or need to blog every single day, but you might commit to, say, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Put a big red X on your calendar every time you post and keep the chain going. In this case, you would not have a line of X’s going across the page, but you would have three lines going down the page. Or you might make yourself a special calendar that has only the days you plan to post on it.
If you have one of those big calendars with the whole year on one page, it can look pretty impressive–you will be proud of yourself when you see what you have accomplished.
Keep blogging!
